It all Started When…. a Certified Public Accountant wanted to open a bakery.

Louie (Luigi) grew up in Olean NY, in an Italian household. There he developed an appreciation for homemade food, often watching and helping his mother Rose bake bread and other delicious meals by hand. This appreciation turned into a passion after many trips to Italy and numerous baking courses.

For years Louie floated around the idea of opening a bakery. Having an unused kitchen in the back of his office, the old city club, (115 Times Square Olean, NY) he finally decided to get started, opening his part time bakery, Luigi’s Pane in September of 2019.

With his office being used for his full time CPA and CFP practice Louie’s bakery does not have a store front. However, with the help of his daughter Eileen, he can sell his bread at numerous locations every Friday.

Here at Luigi’s Pane we understand the time and precision it takes to make exceptional artisan bread. All breads are made with natural ingredients meaning there are absolutely no preservatives in our bread.

We accept all bread orders until Wednesdays at noon, as we need time to prepare our breads for the Friday bake.

Follow us on Facebook (Luigi’s Pane) for updates! If you would like to get in touch, please head over to our contact page! We’d love to hear from you.
